Getting Started
The timeline allows you to create smooth animations by changing parameters over time.
How to Use:
- Show Timeline: Click "Show Timeline" button to open the timeline panel
- Add Track: Click "Add Track" and select a parameter to automate (e.g., Zoom, Hue, X
Offset)
- Add Keyframes: Double-click on a track to add a keyframe at that time
- Edit Keyframes: Right-click on a keyframe to edit its value and easing
- Drag Keyframes: Click and drag keyframes to change their timing
- Timeline Length: Set a custom timeline duration to create animations longer than
your video - the video will loop!
- Zoom Timeline: Use the zoom slider to see more or less detail
- Preview: Play the video to see your automation in action
- Export: Click "Download .bin" to export with timeline automation applied
Tips:
- Multiple parameters can be automated simultaneously
- Easing options (Linear, Ease In/Out) create smooth transitions
- Click on the timeline ruler to jump to specific times
- The red playhead shows current timeline position
- Extend timeline duration to create evolving loops - perfect for generative animations!
- Timeline length is saved/loaded with your preset files
- Exported files will have "_timeline" suffix when automation is used
